Increasingly schools are being asked how racism can be challenged and cultural diversity valued.
When two countries come together to form lasting bonds for trade and economic gain, the first cultural exchange made between governments is the arts. What better way is there of introducing one culture to another than through the exchange of a country's cultural heritage - their music, their dance, theatre and visual art?
Wise Moves has for many years been the UK’s leading provider of multicultural, arts based workshops and performaces into schools. We have developed a range of cultural awareness days which we call "World Focus Days" which are designed to build cultural understanding through the cultural exchange of the arts.
We have several World Focus Days which look at different countries and continents from around the world. Each World Focus Day is presented by two professional artists and performers from the countries featured.
Our World Focus Days are the ultimate teaching aid for Unit 12 Images of a country (Geography KS3) and are now available nationwide.
