World Focus Days
- Our World Focus Days are each delivered by two professional artists (of dance, music drama or visual art).
- Who together, for a day, paint a picture of childhood, family and community life in their country of origin.
- World Focus Days are the ultimate teaching aid for Unit 12 Images of a country (Geography KS3).
- They are designed to challenge stereotypical beliefs and, speaking from their experiences as children to children, the artists demonstrate how much the world community shares in common.
We now have the following World Focus Days available to schools nationwide.
- Africa
- India
- China
- South America (Brazil)
The artists will appear in national costume. Their joint presentation lasts for approximately one hour and 20 minutes and is delivered three times throughout the day. There is no limit to the number of children who can attend at each session but the more children there are the less likely it will be that all will be able to hold, wear, bang on, smell or listen to the various objects that the teachers will bring with them.
- The inclusive fee for each World Focus Day is £595 plus VAT.
